2008 Alpert Award in the Arts

CalArts presents the Alpert Award in the Arts

There is nothing like the interrogative as a door way into thought. (And nothing like being asked a question by someone who is interested in what you have to say.)

We invited the 2008 Alpert recipients to suggest questions they’d ask other artists, questions they think about themselves. We queried this year’s panelists re: overall questions as well as those specific to the artists they selected. The artists will respond in writing to those questions they, well, responded to. Responses forthcoming.
